spoken reflections, contemplative teachings, and guided practices exploring conscious participation

Involution with Veronica explores the inward movement of attention and what becomes visible when we slow down enough to meet ourselves.

Hosted by Veronica Penacho, each episode offers spoken reflections, contemplative teachings, and guided practices exploring how state, orientation, attention, relationship, and practice shape the experience of being human.

Rooted in yoga philosophy but not limited to it, the podcast considers how identity takes form, how patterns become established, where attention repeatedly gathers, and how we can participate more consciously in the way we meet ourselves, one another, and the world.

This isn't an invitation to perfect yourself or collect more information, but a place to cultivate a more conscious relationship with experience.

Slow down. Gather yourself. Return to what is true.

Who Are You Practicing Yourself to Be?

Who Are You Practicing Yourself to Be?

What have you attended to, valued, inherited, and repeated until it began to feel like who you are?

Identity gives us somewhere to stand. It provides continuity through our roles, relationships, histories, values, responsibilities, and the communities to which we belong. But identity doesn’t appear out of nowhere.

In this spoken reflection, I explore how what we attend to, value, inherit, protect, and repeatedly practise gradually takes form as me. I reflect on becoming a mother as an interruption to the way I had learned to move through life, and on what becomes visible when an established identity can no longer continue without being examined.

The invitation isn’t to eliminate identity or replace a human identity with a spiritual one, but to become conscious of what is being formed through the way we meet our lives.
